Why Should I Take Life Seriously?

“Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the World. Those who understand it, gain from it. Those who don’t understand it, pay for it.” – Albert Einstein

Life

There is a huge compounding effect of doing everything right, over the course of 10 years, compared to putting in a lazy attempt to succeed, because you still wanted the small pleasures of life, and because you didn’t want to be seen as a geek or an embarrassment.

God will reward you greatly if you prove you can put the work in.

Compound interest doesn’t just apply to finances; it applies to everything in life. After 1 year of studying a subject more than your peers, you’ll be ahead. After 5 years, you’ll be out of site.

Same goes with lifting in the gym. 5 years of weighing your food to exact gram, tracking every workout, ensuring you’re properly hydrated and rested every day. You will be miles ahead of the other people who half arsed these things. After 10 years, they’ll most likely never be able to catch up to you.

If you give it all you’ve got, you massively increase your chances of having great finances, a great physique, a big platform with a bigger audience, more doors open for opportunity, a happy, healthier family, your kids won’t face some of the struggles you have faced etc.

When you can’t be bothered getting the scales out to measure your food in the moment, think ahead to 10 years into the future. Measuring this food now, and tomorrow, and the day after that, increases my chances of having a healthier body so I can spend more time with my family in the future. I won’t get injured getting on the ground to play to play them, resulting in you needing assistance to get up because of your dodgy knees.

If you keep it up, then you’ll be able to play with your Grandchildren, without risking getting injured too.

Healthier body means you can work longer, again increasing the chances that you can support your family and community for an extended period of time. If your body and mind are still healthy into your 60s, you can always find new ways to increase finances, again, supporting your family and / or local community.

A healthy mind is always gaining more information too. Keeping your brain active for decades, reduces the risk of Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Keeping a sharp mind is equally, if not more important than having a healthy body.

Christianity

Why should I take Jesus seriously too? I’ve never seen him, for all I know, he’s a fairy-tale man in the sky.

His teachings exist, though.

If you take the Bible seriously, and apply the teachings to your life, then you will become a better person.

An added bonus to that, is that if Jesus does exist, then you have the creator of all life, and everything you see in this World, by your side.

You follow him, he will support you fully and will guide you to your mission in life.

Bad things will happen along the way, but he lets them happen to you to make you stronger. He will never let it go too far though. He will take you to the edge of the cliff, then hold onto you with all of his might.

If he is on your side, you will never fall off of the cliff.

Look at turning your life around today, because our lives are finite, and there will be a day that you look back, wishing you had made the effort when you had the chance.

Today's the day to make the change.
